Beyond Evolution

Human Nature & Limits of Evolutionary Explanation
Anthony O’Hear maintains that while the Darwinian theory of evolution may succeed to some degree (and to some people) in explaining the development of the natural world, it possesses limited value when applied to human existence. He focuses on the nature of human consciousness, the search for knowledge, the sense of morality, and the appreciation of beauty, arguing that Darwinian theory cannot satisfactorily explain these facets of human life. Although he does not write from a Christian perspective, he concludes that truth, goodness, and beauty and the human effort to preserve them remain impossible to account for in the context of a Darwinian evolutionary world.

Darwin On Trial

Phillip Johnson, a professor of law, studied the claims of Darwinism through the eyes of a legal expert. His research uncovered that scientists have put the cart before the horse. They prematurely accepted Darwin’s theory as fact and have been scrambling to find evidence for it ever since. He examines such topics as the fossil problem, the vertebrate sequence, the molecular evidence, and pre-biological evolution. To enjoy this straightforward and readable book, one need not have a strong scientific or legal background.

Darwin's Black Box

The Biochemical Challenge to Evolution

Michael Behe asks, “What would happen if we discovered something scientific that refuted Darwinism?” Though not a creationist per se, Behe argues that the limits of Darwinian evolution have been right under our noses in a world so small we haven’t noticed. Biochemists have unexpectedly discovered a realm of Lilliputian complexity. The more intricate and interdependent each of the body’s parts proves to be, the more difficulty biologists face in explaining life by random, gradual processes. Design becomes a compelling notion. Behe concludes that some greater force, possibly God, must be at work.

Defeating Darwinism by Opening Minds

Phillip Johnson raises young readers’ awareness of the importance of clear thinking. He helps us understand the sweeping impact of Inherit the Wind and shows how to avoid common mistakes in discussions about evolution. As a law professor, Johnson trains readers to recognize faulty logic and to grasp major points of scientific issues. Johnson’s purpose in writing this book is to hasten the demise of Darwinism.

Evolution A Theory In Crisis

Michael Denton, a renowned molecular biologist, investigates the proposed mechanisms driving neo-Darwinian evolution. He sets out to explain the gathering evidence against biological evolution in its traditional form. He gives a clear account of the growing crisis in biology and enables readers to understand why an increasing number of research scientists question Darwinism. He concludes from his rigorous analysis of the fossil record and biochemical data that strictly natural evolution cannot explain the diversity of life on earth. Although a self-proclaimed agnostic, Denton provides apologists with useful material in his thorough and highly readable book.

Icons of Evolution: Science or Myth?

Jonathan Wells convincingly demonstrates that the evidence and examples of Darwinian evolution commonly found in biology textbooks are either misleading or false. Wells carefully documents his thesis from the work of evolutionary biologists, explaining that the “icons” of evolution are nothing more than scientific myths in most cases. The evolutionary icons addressed by Wells include the Miller-Urey experiment, Archaeopteryx as the missing link connecting birds to reptiles, speciation among Darwin’s finches, and others. Icons of Evolution provides a critical tool for parents and students needing to respond to the evolution theories promoted throughout most biology textbooks.

Nature's Destiny

How Laws of Biology Reveal Purpose in the Universe

Michael Denton continues the assault on Darwinian theory he began in his earlier book, Evolution: A Theory in Crisis. He compiles an impressive body of evidence from biology, chemistry, and physics to address this question: Is a Homo-sapiens-like creature the only possible high-intelligence life form? Denton marshals evidence to conclude that the laws of nature necessarily and deliberately culminate in human beings, and that the universe was intentionally and uniquely designed for those beings.

Of Pandas & People

The Central Question of Biological Origins
Percival Davis and Dean H. Kenyon present a definitive rationale for an alternate to Darwinism—intelligent design. Written on two levels, the book begins with an overview, an easy to understand section. The Excursion chapters that follow are more technical but offer a glossary of terms, charts, and illustrations to make them accessible to readers. Over seventy-five color photos and illustrations enrich this work.

The Mystery of Life’s Origin

Reassessing Current Theories
Surprisingly, prebiotic or chemical evolution has never been thoroughly tested, nor has its experimental procedures been vigorously analyzed--until this book. Authors Charles Thaxton, Walter Bradley, and Roger Olsen provide a comprehensive critique using established principles of physics and chemistry. They then introduce some effective tools of analysis. This book brings together in one volume the isolated criticisms found throughout chemical evolution literature. The result is a serious challenge to the accepted interpretation of how life began

What's Darwin Got to Do With It?

Robert C. Newman and John L. Wiester collaborate with others to depict (in cartoon format) a friendly conversation between professors, Mutaman and Selecta, about science and, more specifically, about evolution. The dialogue covers not only what Darwin has “to do with it,” but also what logic has “to do with it.” Readers find out if Galapagos Islands’ finches prove Darwinian evolution, if the Panda’s thumb reflects poor design, what really happened to the missing fossils, and what the Cambrian explosion produced. Mutaman and Selecta show that there’s “more to it all” than many people may have thought.

A Critique of Darwinist Icon's (Video)

Lecture by Johnathan Wells at UC Santa Barbara. This video is a great companion to his book "Icons of Evolution".

Irreducible Complexity (Video)

Lecture by Michale Behe at Princeton. This video is a great companion to his book "Darwin's Black Box".

Icons of Evolution DVD

According to a growing number of scientists, the surprising answer is no. They claim that many of the most famous "Icons of Evolution" - including Darwin's "Tree of Life," finches from the Galapagos Islands, and embryos that look remarkably similar - are based on outdated research and sloppy logic.
